Netflix Rules of Efficiency

If you’re on any sort of unlimited plan with Netflix, be it 2-movies-at-a-time, 3-at-a-time, or even just the unlimited streaming plans, you need to do a little basic math. How many movies do you have to watch per month before the plans are just not worth it economically? Read the rest of this entry

Well, this sucks.

SyFy has canned Stargate Universe, the strongest of the Stargate series and one of the best shows currently on TV. I hate SyFy so much.

The Next Avatar

I have to admit, I can’t wait for the next Avatar. And I’m not talking about James Cameron or M. Night Shyamalan. Read the rest of this entry

Concert Review: Blitzen Trapper

Went to the Blitzen Trapper show at the Showbox at the Market in Seattle last Friday. If you’re unfamiliar with Blitzen Trapper, just listen to old Guess Who and Grateful Dead albums — Blitzen Trapper is the modern reincarnation of those classic rock bands. Triple review: LET ME IN, THE SOCIAL NETWORK & NEVER LET ME GO

It’s a pleasure to review great movies. It’s an even greater pleasure to write a brief review about three movies, in a single post. Shall we? Read the rest of this entry

Movie Review: MACGRUBER

I’m typing this review on my mobile phone; it takes forever to type and I make lots of spelling errors. Perhaps it’s just as well – I suspect that a long review of MACGRUBER would be besides the point. It’s a silly movie, pre-pubescent in its nature. In that respect, it delivers pretty much exactly what you’d suspect. Read the rest of this entry
