Battle of the songs: “Burial” vs. “The Funeral”
I have been listening to my Pandora.com account tonight and two songs I love came on in succession: “Burial” by Miike Snow and “The Funeral” by Band of Horses. I figured I’d share them here with you. Go ahead and vote on the one you like best in the comments.

I love both songs but I’m gonna go with the Miike Snow song in this battle. I can’t get enough of that song. (Plus I suspect it is the underdog here.)
Can I ask what Pandora “Station” brought these up? I’m fond of my BofH Station and am thus surprised this is the first time I’ve heard the “Burial” song. Still prefer “The Funeral” though–one my favorite songs of the past decade.

The Funeral wins it by a country mile.
Coupla good funeral/burial songs:
“Bury Me Deep” by Poi Dog Pondering.
“Black Cadillacs” by Modest Mouse. (Or “Satin in a Coffin.” Come to think of it, 3/4 of the songs on “Good News for People Who Like Bad News” are about death.)

I’m not surprised Miike Snow isn’t getting the love. But I love that song anyway.
The Funeral is just too good. For the longest time I couldn’t even listen to any of their other songs because they don’t compare. I actually listen to their second album more than the one this is on, because the songs won’t suffer in comparison.
