  1. Is it just me or is the sound mixing bad on that? I think the guitar should be much louder.

  2. It looks to me like he’s singing and playing into a single mic. The guitar has a pickup but it’s not connected to anything, so there’s no mixing, just an acoustic performance recorded with a single source. That’s why his foot tapping is just as loud as the guitar and his voice.

  3. I love acoustic but if you’re going to record something like this you really have to do it right. Sounds like a good song but the mix is really bad.

  5. Sorry – wrong word. Poorly recorded.

    The properly recorded and mixed track is fantastic. I just think too many people do acoustic recordings that sound like bootlegs. It makes a huge difference to balance the music with the voice. Part of that is where you put the mics but also doing some post production mixing.
