Idol: Rank ‘Em 1-to-6

6) Siobhan
5) Aaron
4) Mike
3) Crystal
2) Casey
1) Lee

Okay, the judges just don’t know what they’re talking about with Siobhan. She is terrible. And that scream at the end was not only grating, but once again, predictable. Please America, get rid of her.

Aaron is like a little lost puppy. It’s so obvious that he has a hundred different people telling him what to do with his hair, what clothes to wear, to get more fake tan (seriously, he was looking orange last night) and even his music. Last night wasn’t horrible, but still, he needs to go within the next couple weeks.

I always struggle with Mike because he’s always very competent, he always sounds like he’s hitting all the right notes, but I just cannot get into his vibe. He seems like a pretty cool guy, but I just don’t like his music.

Crystal was fine.

Casey sounded pretty good but that dude has become so cheesy (I mean, seriously, that hair?) that it’s hard to take him seriously.

Lee was by far and away the best last night. He made the song his own, made it feel modern and he just sounded great. I think he’s the one to beat this year, not Crystal.

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lee wins because he sounds just like everyone else on the radio. He has his moments for me but I also get irritated by him.

I like Mike a lot, but then I love contemporary R&B. He’s the only performer who I want to hear and not also watch, if that makes sense. His voice is good. His performance isn’t bad, it just doesn’t always match the song for me.

I liked that Crystal went all bluegrass on that song, but the song itself was kinda silly.

When Aaron said he was singing to his mother I rewound a bit to catch the lyrics again. That was kinda weird. But sweet that it made him so emotional.

I actually liked Shania Twain night a lot. But then I like Shania. She can really sing, and she’s a rarity in country music–she writes her own stuff.

  2. If Casey goes the country route, which I think he will, he’s going to be a huge star. Carrie Underwood-level.

I kind of have a feeling that it’s going to be Lee and Casey in the finals and Crystal bows out third in a SHOCKER!

I agree with you on Michael. He’s technically a very good singer. Hits all of the notes. But there’s nothing else really there.

When I found out Siobhan and Aaron were the last two singers I switched the channel. I have lost all interest in them.

  3. I think it’s hilarious that this “YEAR OF THE GIRLS” there are only 2 left and one sucks so badly she just doesn’t even know…

Lee was the only one worth listening to last night. He actually made me like a country song!

Crystal was meh, as was Mike. Casey was better, but I agree that he should think the country route for any long term-ability. Aaron. Why is he still there? And Siobhan. Oi. She is so nasally and horrid, especially with the cat scratching she does all the darn time, now. I would be happy to see her leave about a month ago.

And I’m thinking she’s just way too cocky for her talent ala Kat McPhee or Constantine: http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b178483_american_idols_siobhan_magnus_i_feel.html?sid=twitterfeed_kristin&utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=twitterfeed&utm_campaign=twitterfeed_kristin

  4. No surprise Siobhan went home. It was interesting to see Shakira perform with Rascal Flatts. I love her.

  5. Yeah. We’ll go with “interesting”…

  6. I much prefer Shakira in Spanish.

  7. Me too. “Ojos Asi” is such a great song.

  8. I love Shakira too, though I suspect for completely different reasons than Susan.

I can’t believe we have to wait another whole week to get rid of Aaron. I’m so ready for a showdown between Lee, Crystal, Casey and Mike.

I think it should come down to Crystal and Lee, and my money’s on Lee to win it all. I suspect that Casey is pulling a lot of the female vote, however, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him finish strong.

  9. “I love Shakira too, though I suspect for completely different reasons than Susan.”

Bwahahahahahahaha….that’s the funniest thing I’ve read all hour.

Casey’s pretty, but I don’t know how much that’s helping him. Because pretty+boring = boring. I think he needs to play up the country. IF Aaron goes next week (PLEASE!), and Casey plays up the country, we’ll have 4 very different performers, with no real vote sharing. Which will be “fun” to watch (except this season isn’t really fun and I’m only watching for Lee…).
