Something new for you to watch
First off, if you haven’t been watching Stargate Universe, you might want to think about it. It’s pretty good stuff — not BSG, but leaps above any prior Stargate series. Good acting and some compelling storylines. Highly recommended. I may consider recapping it, if there’s a critical mass (e.g. 3 people) who are interested.
Also on the new front, try out “Justified.” It’s a new series on F/X about a southern U.S. Marshal, based on an Elmore Leonard character. The characters have been interesting so far and the dialogue is great. I don’t think it is getting much buzz, but frankly it’s one of the better shows on TV right now (no offense to you Parenthood fans). You can watch all the eps so far on Hulu (at least for the next few days).
The Best Show On Television Right Now Is Not Lost…
It’s Parenthood. Not that they are really comparable, but I’m now consistently finding myself looking more forward to the realistic interactions between siblings on Parenthood than the ridiculous, over-dramatized conversations between the crazy characters on Lost. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lost, I’ve always been a Lost evangelist, but this season my suspension of disbelief is getting so thin it’s about to snap. I’m glad it’s ending soon.
But this post isn’t about Lost Read the rest of this entry

And bleh to the rest.
Cheese night on American Idol! What’d everyone think?
LOST: “The Last Recruit”
For Lost, the end is nigh. And this episode was the first that I felt that. Rather than worrying about character development (nothing character-centric here), the show is putting the pieces in place for the finale, with now just five hours left.
Discussion of tonight’s episode, which of course means spoilers, below.

Your most played songs.
I’m sure we’ve done this before, but not anytime recently. Always a good way of discovering good music!
If you listen to music on your computer or an mp3 player, there should be a way to figure out what your most-played songs are. If not, just guess.
Here’s mine:
LOST: Everybody Loves Hugo
In tonight’s episode, we get to see the LA-X life of Bizarro Hurley (that’s Hugo to you and me). Discussion of tonight’s episode, speculation and various other stuff after the jump.

Flash mob amazingness
A group of around 1,000 gathered in Seattle yesterday and danced to music from the TV show, GLEE.
Unfortunately embedding is disabled for the video, but you can see it here:

Definitely worth watching. More videos from other locations around Seattle are coming soon.
What other flash mob videos have grabbed your eye? I love the Internet.
LOST: “Happily Ever After”
Desmond’s life has not exactly been a fairy tale. But I always like Desmond-centric episodes.
I’ll discuss this and other ideas from tonight’s episode below.
