First and foremost: Disco sucks. Now that we’ve all agreed on that, can we also agree that Lil Rounds just isn’t as good as we thought? Well, she’s not. I like her as a person, but she’s not smart enough to win this thing. Poor Matt. He too is so earnest but just can’t seem to figure out what he needs to be doing. And I hated his song choice and arrangement. Anoop was meh. They may as well get rid of those three tonight rather than just two of them. Right after Danny started singing I told my wife, “Danny has officially become boring.” He’s really starting to sound the same every week. He’s good, but he needs to try something different. I think with Adam it is now just a matter of taste. I tend to like his choices, others don’t. I enjoyed his performance last night. Allison was solid and she’s starting to mature. And Kris is really getting better every week. The dude is talented.

Would anyone really put “I’m Every Woman,” “She Works Hard For The Money” or “September” in the category of disco at first glance? I thought they were stretching it a bit with those songs.

Who I think should go home: Lil & Anoop
Who I think WILL go home: Lil & Matt. However, I think we’ll get a “very shocking boot” tonight now that the save is gone and I think Matt & Allison will go, leaving Lil & Anoop knowing they shouldn’t still be there.
After about three notes of Adam’s song I turned to my wife and said, “Paula will use the word ‘vulnerable’ or ‘vulnerability’.” And of course, she did. It’s time for her to go. Also, Lil, Matt, and Anoop, in that order.
I don’t see that Adam has any real competition. I don’t love him, but he’s undeniably talented and charismatic. I like Danny and Kris better, but I just can’t see them giving Adam a run for his money.

“She Works Hard for the Money” is disco by virtue of being Donna Summer.
Yeah, but it was a hit in the 80s when everyone detested disco.
We get Idol 2 days late in England, so the show was only broadcast here yesterday, and the results show is tonight.
Don’t know that I’d put Allison 2nd. I didn’t really like it as a rock song. And Danny has been boring for me for a few weeks now. I really liked him in the audition shows, but I’ve lost interest.
I think I’d agree with Tom’s rankings. I preferred Adam to Allison. Kris has had a couple of great weeks. I loved last week’s ‘Falling Slowly’ – love that film and soundtrack anyway, and thought this week he was great.
