IT IS TIME FOR SCOTT TO GO!!! He’s terrible. Did anyone see 30 Rock last week? In the same way that nobody would tell Liz’s boyfriend the truth because he’s so good looking, nobody is telling Scott the truth because he’s blind. He’s as bad at singing as Liz’s boyfriend was at tennis. Grrrrr… Megan was terrible too. She is so pretty and seems to have a great attitude, but her vocals still sound like a teenager making fun of a singer. But she appears to have gotten her awkward body movements under control…for the most part. This was another blah week for Michael. He’s not a bad singer and he has great control over his voice, but there is nothing that sticks out about him. I think everyone was hoping for Lil’ Rounds to kill this genre and she failed. Her performance wasn’t horrible, but the judges were exactly right about her singing way too fast, it was just too much. Allison was pretty good. Not nearly as good as the judges implied, but it was good. Anoop picked a tough song and performed it well. He’s a bit cheesy though. Danny was solid as usual. Not break-out though. I was impressed with Kris last night. Solid performance, he could have an actual career ahead of him. Matt was great again. This dude is really good. I think he might nudge Lil’ Rounds out of the top 3. And then there is Adam. What can you say about this guy? He’s incredible. When he walked out there my wife and I started laughing out loud. I love the fact that he can play any part (except Country of course), that he was standing there in that suit with slicked back hair. And his performance was just awesome. I will be extremely surprised if he doesn’t win it all this year.

Adam is totally at a different level than the rest.
I thought Anoop was boring.
Kris was awesome, I’m going to download his song today (and Adam’s).
I still love Allison.
Matt is good but I still think he’s pretty forgettable. He doesn’t have the personality/performance spark that Danny and Adam do.
I was really disappointed with Lil, I thought she’d do something amazing. She has trouble choosing the right song I guess.
Megan was horrible too, another case of choosing the wrong song. The judges are right, she would’ve done much better with something like “My Guy.” I still love her voice. My husband said she should be on the radio because it’s so unique—you don’t come across voices that are that unique very often.
Scott was horrible. Who wants to hear Bruce Hornsby doing Diana Ross? The answer is NO ONE.
I’m hoping Michael is gone this week though.
Allison is my favorite. Adam is way too over the top and Danny is creepy. Lil is this year’s Lakisha Jones(great talent but lack of orginality or creativity). Scott is charming but his time has come.
I think Michael and Scott are the bottom two. I liked Megan a little better than most, because she has a great voice, she just has never had the right song. Allison is amazing, especially for her age, she’s in my top five. I agree that Adam was the best by far. He has a voice, showmanship (in spades), he chooses good songs, what more can you ask? Lil’ Rounds (I can’t get over that stupid name) was disappointing, but still not bad; song choice is her problem, too. I would put Anoop in the top three; I was very impressed with his voice and he chose a good song, but he has little or no showmanship at all. Danny, Kris and Matt are all blending together for me. They have talent, but nothing that stands out.
Scott should go this week. I wonder if Adam will suffer from a rocker guy just having won?

Axel Minnelli/Adam’s main risk is that he could peak too early and run out of gas a la Chris Daughtry. Then again, Adam probably wouldn’t mind selling many records as Daughtry has.
I thought the Elvis/Morrissey thing was a nice touch for him last night though. Clearly the front runner at this point.
I don’t think the blonde chick has the lurching and jerking under control. I hate watching her perform. She would do well if the camera zoomed on her face only.
If Adam gets voted off the judges will “save” him. Unless it’s already happened to Danny.
