  1. Dang! I was hoping the rumor of Pushing Daisies being cancelled was just a rumor. *sniff

  2. Oh great, another Indiana Jones film… (yawn).

  3. I’ll be watching Colbert’s Christmas for sure. Although I’m sure they’ll rerun it all the time.

Am I the only one who only watched Colbert and Stewart’s coverage of the election?

  4. Anyone notice it’s been a long time since we had a South Park Christmas special?

  5. Susan, we tried to watch the Colbert/Stewart election coverage – Indecision 2008 was it? Anyway, I tried, but it kept coming on at weird times (we’re like on opposite time zones). My husband finally caught it once, and then told me, it wasn’t as great as it should have been, so I never saw it after all.

    Was it worth it?

That’s what Tivo is for, and by that I mean to use to record 24 while I watch Colbert.

Am I the only one who only watched Colbert and Stewart’s coverage of the election?

I got caught up in the CNN coverage, but went back and watched it. I thought it was good, but probably would have been better live. And 1.5 hours is a bit too much Colbert/Stewart in one sitting.

  7. I’m sad about Eli Stone. I think it must be too high-brow for the general masses, like Studio 60 was. Or maybe it’s because they put a good spin on heavenly interaction, like another of my favorites, Joan of Arcadia. The song and dance numbers alone make it worthwhile.

Vaguely related: I know no one else here would ever admit to watching Law & Order, but they had an episode this week that was actually very kind to Mormons, despite the polygamy theme. I was impressed.

  8. I’m sad about Eli Stone.

I don’t think this season of Eli was headed in the right direction.

I know no one else here would ever admit to watching Law & Order

I didn’t catch the episode in question, but I really like the new cast.

  9. In mourning re: Pushing Daisies. Once again good TV doesn’t necessarily equate to a hit.

  10. Susan, I’m still watching the Daily Show election episodes. I think they’re hilarious.

  11. I watched to Colbert Christmas special. It started off well but kind of went down hill fast. About 20 minutes of humor stretched to an hour.

  12. BTW – anyone watch 24 yet? After hearing the bad reviews I didn’t bother setting aside time for it. (We got caught up on Top Chef instead)

  13. I watched 24 last night. It was fine. Not great, but fine.

Might judgment might be cloudy from withdrawal, but I just enjoyed having Jack yell in my living room again.

  14. I saw the 24 TV movie. It was better than the last two seasons of 24 (not that that is saying much). A decent TV movie, not great, but okay.

  15. 24 was just okay. It was the equivalent of the normal 2-hour season-kickoffs. The problem is that we have to wait 2 months to follow it up.
