Top Chef by far. The only drawback to Top Chef is, unlike other reality competition shows, we the audience aren’t able act as judges ourselves as we can’t taste the food the chefs prepare. We have to sort of take the judges’ word for it.
And call me crazy, but I’ll take Padma over Heidi.
Top Chef is one of my favorite shows. I watched the first three seasons, then realized my wife hadn’t watched them and went through them all over again. I enjoy Project Runway, but the artsy-fartsy designers get on my nerves pretty quickly.
It probably also has something to do with my love of cooking, so when they’re naming unique ingredients they’re using, I usually know what they’re talking about.

Top Chef. What it comes down to is I’m a lot more interested in food than in . . . whatever Project Runway’s about (is it models or design?).
Plus this season Top Chef’s in New York, so I may actually recognize a location or two.

I kind of dig Top Chef. Although I’m Jonesing for some Lost and 24 action.
