  1. Coke Zero, to be specific.

  2. I don’t drink any soda.

  3. I take Pepsi over Coke, but I take Diet Coke over Diet Pepsi.

  4. Neither are my drink of choice. But, if I did drink soda, it would be Coke!

  5. This is another neither; I’m curious, though, about GUS Dry Cola (and may now be inspired to actually buy one).

Several years ago, I was excited by the advent of Vanilla Coke, then I tried it and remembered that I don’t generally like cola, so GUS Dry Cola may well not be for me. But I’ll try it anyway.

  6. McDonalds Double Quarter-Pounder with cheese, large fry, and a 44 OZ sweet delicious Coca-Cola.

  7. Whatever’s on sale.

  8. W/alcohol: Coke (although I very rarely will mix alcohol with a soda).

w/out alcohol: Coke, if its bottled in Mexico and/or Kosher for Passover. Otherwise Pepsi (can only).

  9. My wife and I are in a mixed marriage.

I am Coke and she is Pepsi. The only Pepsi product I prefer is Mountain Dew.

But I prefer a Sam Adams over those choices.

  10. Water. But hubby drinks diet Coke.

  11. Once upon a time in America, c. 2003, there was this blue Pepsi stuff. Next to Mountain Dew Code Red, that was my cancer juice of choice.

  12. If you want to suck on lollipops all day and get a stomach ache, I suppose Pepsi is for you. If you want a strong, slightly bitter, but much more satisfying experience, come to Coke. You won’t regret it.

  13. Cherry Coke Zero.
    Diet Coke.
Coke with sugar (i.e., not high fructose corn syrup)
    Coke Zero.
    Dr. Pepper.
    Coke.
    Cherry Coke.

In that order, actually. Pepsi One used to be pretty great but they changed the formula.

  14. Matt Thurston

It’s not even close. Pepsi and Diet Pepsi are both way too sweet.

  15. Hey, I don’t drink soda, just like Susan M. I never liked it. I wonder how many of us non-soda-drinkers there are out there.

In the early 1970s, they used to give me a spoonful of some kind of cola syrup to doctor my childhood asthma.

  16. I’m not a pop drinker, either. But if I get a hankering, Cherry Coke Zero it is- but only if I can’t get my paws on a Mexican Coke.

  17. I’m a Dr. Pepper addict. Once in a while, when ordering at a restaurant, they don’t have it and I can’t help myself from letting out an irritated sigh. And then I order a Pepsi. And then they tell me they only have Coke products. Yes, Dr. Pepper discrimination hurts everyone.

  18. They both taste like medicine

  19. Coke is it! (Coke with Lime from Sonic is the best!)

*raises a distinctively shaped Coca-Cola glass in tribute*

  20. Soda of choice is Pommac, but a Coke in a cold glass bottle is a close second.

  21. Dublin Dr Pepper
Cherry Coke with sugar (get it in Canada or Mexico)
Guarana (with a slice of orange)
    Mexican Coke
    Dr Pepper
    Cherry Coke
    Vanilla Coke
    Coke
    Pepsi

  22. Guarana is indeed excellent.

  23. Kudos on the Guarana, rJ.

  24. Mexican Coke is just like our Coke but made with real sugar, not corn syrup. That’s the difference you’re tasting.

    1. Pepsi (bottle)
    2. Cherry Coke (any form)
    3. Coke (fountain)
    4. Pepsi (can)
    5. Diet Pepsi (fountain)

But Budweiser takes them all. Maybe Coors.

  25. I thought Guarana was a speedy-ephedra like supplement…?

  26. Oh Tracy. You have opened Pandora’s Box.

  27. Guaraná is lame – it’s just ginger ale with caffeine.

  28. Guarana’ is a fruit found in the Amazon. Extract from the fruit is used for many drinks. The most excellent of these is Guarana’ Antartica, which is made in Brazil but available in the USA. You can get it at mexican supermarkets and sometimes in the mexican aisle of your local supermarket.

It is my understanding that Brazil is the only major market which Coca-Cola has entered where the incumbent national softdrink has remained king. Guarana’ Antartica is that good.

  29. David J,

You’re lucky I’m in a good mood or I’d delete your comment and then ban your ass.

  30. In all due respect (and I mean that in the most Ricky Bobby way), I know all about its composition and availablilty. A long time ago I did the mission thing in Brazil (and yes, “o meu brasil se escreve com Z!”), and that’s all the Americans wanted to drink. It’s all hype. For me, anyway. I’d take a Pepsi over an Antarctica or a Taí any day. Over-rated. But that’s just me.

  31. Pepsi is icky.

  32. All the mpre reason to ban you…

  33. Red Bull all the way…

  34. What is that Mexican soda called “Sangria Senorial?” Anyone tried it? Good stuff.

  35. Red Bull tastes even worse than Pepsi or Coke. Also, it didn’t give me any extra energy.

  36. Coke Zero
    Cherry Coke Zero
    Vanilla Coke Zero
    Coke
    Coke with vanilla from Sonic
    DP with vanilla from sonic

  37. I prefer Dr. Pepper over both of them, but can settle for Pepsi. Truthfully these days I’d rather have a nice glass of ice water or iced tea. The carbonation is just too much for me.

  38. Sangria Senorial is wonderful, if you like grape juice. Also, you might have to give it more than one try. I’ve had more than one bottle that was just terrible, though in general I think it is excellent. I have no idea what is going on with their quality control.

  39. I like Guarana too – the “ethnic” aisle in my suburban grocery store carries it now & then. Coke for everyday. Although when I get tired of the sugar but I still want the fizz, I like flavored seltzer. Polar’s the best, esp mint, pomegranate, or blueberry.

Hey, is it true that the fruit flavor in Dr. Pepper (another fave of mine) is prune??

  40. PEPSI, of course. Never had cola drinks until I was introduced to it on my mission (Dakotas). And as my first boyfriend said “Allah Pepsi!!!”

  41. jeans: Here’s the Snopes page on Prune in Dr. Pepper:

Ginger seems to be the dominant flavor of it – not sure about what fruit might also be in it.

  42. More Mitsuya Cider love here.

Diet Pepsi w/cherry with a packet of True Lime granules added is my current passion.

I’d rather have Coke Zero than Diet Coke, though.
