Are Band on the Run and Ram too old? Those are my recent old discoveries.

If we're looking for newer stuff, these are prior-year albums that I'm currently enjoying:

The National - Boxer
Jay Reatard - Blood Visions
DC Snipers - Missile Sunset

Well by old I didn't mean decades. Just something that's been out a few years that you just discovered. All of mine are within 4 years.

Both Belle & Sebastian and Wilco are fantastic. One of the guys from Wilco has some Jazz albums I want to check out one of these days as well.

Want a really old band to check out? Try Placebo and then the North Mississippi All-Stars.

I'd rank Vedder's Into The Wild soundtrack ahead of all Pearl Jam albums. But it isn't that old.

There are many bands I've known about since the beginning, and listened to some of their songs, but never bought an album for whatever reason. They are bands I told myself I'd check out some day...

For example, I've only just started getting into Belle & Sebastian and Wilco in the past couple of years. I have now worked my way through both bands' entire catalogue.

Some other bands I got into late, but knew about since the beginning: Eels, Nada Surf, Dandy Warhols, BJM, etc.

I've been listening to a little X, Los Angeles. Also, I didn't know that Neal Diamond has been recording new music. The 12 Songs album, released a couple years ago, is really pretty dang good.

Gotta say that I'm really tired of Jack Johnson.

Does the use of the word 'album' date a person?
