BSG – Predictions?
Only 3 weeks to go to the last season of Battlestar Galactica. What are your thoughts/predictions for this season? Who’s the final cylon? Is Hera really the first human/cylon hybrid? Who won’t live to the end? Will Roslin and Adama get it together?

Man, Rebecca — it’s just been so long! I can’t remember! But the fifth Cylon I think is going to be something unexpected. It wouldn’t surprise me to find it’s Roslin. I am definitely excited about this season, though. They’ve had so long to polish it — it had better be good.
I’d predict the final Cylon will be Roslin, Adama, or Gaius.
If it was up to me, and I was writing it, I’d have it be Roslin and then have Adama find out and confront her in a big show down, and ultimately have to kill her.
But that’s just me.
I think, by the way, they already hooked up during some party on New Caprica.
I honestly don’t know where they are going to go with it. I just hope the quality is better than last year. I was pretty impressed with Razor – especially the bit about the Cylons trying to make human/Cylon hybrids.
Brian G- you’re right, they did – I was just thinking if they would re-visit that and make it more permanent?
I have high expectations too – hope that’s not misplaced!
My money would be on Roslin or Adama (Snr) being the 5th. Roslin’s had all that sharing dreams with cylons, but maybe that makes her too obvious a choice. If Adama though – that would make Lee the first human/cyclon hybrid. Either one of those would make for an interesting dynamic especially if they did re-visit their romance.
Did you see Tigh pointing a gun at Adama in the trailer? Do the ‘new’ cylons go bad?
The problem with Gaius being a Cylon is that he wants it so bad.
SG – agreed, that’s why I don’t think he’s the 5th.
My predictions:
1. The final Cylon is Apollo.
2. Humans and Cylons reach earth, have a peace treaty, colonize, and interbreed. In later myths, “Adama” as the leader of the Humans devolves into “Adam” and Cylons somehow become known as “Eve.”
3. The Cylon god will be a Count Iblis figure.
There are 2 cylon hybrid babies (remember Nicholas – Chief’s kid).
I can’t really imagine who the 5th cylon will be, just arguments against different ones:
Roslin – can cylons get cancer?
Adama – he has an actual human son, not just pictures like Athena did. But I guess they can write their way out of that.
Lee – Ditto the old man on family ties. Can cylons get fat?
Kara – seems too obvious, also we saw her mother and flashbacks to her childhood, so they’d have to write around that.
Baltar – he’s been such a collaborator anyway, it’s not that big a reveal. plus he wants it too much. The apology makes some sense, tho.
Dualla – aren’t cylons all sex machines? she just seems sort of blah and “good-girl” for a cylon.
Ellen Tigh – that could be interesting, since Col. Tigh killed her for collaborating and then turned out to be one, too. Plus, they don’t have kids. And she’s a sex machine. But not that major a character for the big reveal.
Hot Dog – yeah, right
Doc Cottle – maybe in a Bro. Cavill/crotchety old man way. This guy cracks me up.
Romo Lampkin – dude is creepy and weird, but seems too minor to me. However, he is back in season 4.
We’re getting into some minor characters here.
I miss Fat Lee.

My prediction? In a nod to the original series the Jayne Seymore character is brought back along with her son Boxie and the robot dog Muffit. Muffit is the final Cylon who ironically was also the first AI created by the humans decades before.
I would LOVE to see Muffit.
