Ok, folks. 5 questions. The one with the most right earns bragging rights and a prize to be determined later. Foretell the future:

Relating to this, a friend sent me this link to a nice HP contest.
1. Death: Snape, Ginny
2. Lives: Harry, Dumbledore
3. Snape: Loyal
4. Shocking Twist: Hmm. Are there shocking twists in these books? What will be shocking is how little is shocking.
5. Best surviving couple: the werewolf and the girl who loves him. (Forget their names and I’m too lazy to look it up)
Oh yeah. You must make predictions prior to actually reading the book (or spoilers). Predictions taken after midnight tonight eastern time will be disregarded.
1. Death: Hermione, Peter Pettigrew
2. Lives: Harry, Ron
3. Snape: Evil
4. Shocking Twist: Hermione dies
5. Best Surviving Couple: Harry and Ginny
1. Death: Harry–deliberately because it is the only way to kill Voldemort. (Maybe he is a horcrux, maybe something else.)
2. Lives: everyone else, inc. Dumbledore
3. Snape: good
4. Shocking Twist: McGonagal is evil.
5. Couple: everyone will be too sad re Harry to mate up.
Neville dies.
I don’t like the Ron/Hermione thing. She would be better with Harry.
Snape is good, of course. But that would be a pretty good twist if McGonagal were evil.
Most shocking twist: Dumbledore is actually dead.

5. I agree with Clark – Lupin and Tonks (isn’t this question pretty subjective though)
1. Molly Weasley and Severus Snape die.
2. Harry Potter and Neville live.
3. Snape was wavering with pressure from both sides, but having killed Dumbledore has now lost his soul to the Dark Side of the Force.
4. RAB was actually RAF, none other than Russell Arben Fox. No, scratch that. I am hoping for an ending out of The Tempest where Prospero breaks his staff and Shakespeare quits writing plays. I lot of Harry’s magic ability has come from his connection to the Dark Lord. That connection will be completely severed, and Potter will become a fairly mediocre magician. Now that living in his hated relatives’ house isn’t a requirement for him to live in the normal world, and after suffer much tragedy in the magic world, he will opt out of the magic world, snap his wand in two, and take up life as an ordinary person.
5. Bill and Fleur live together happily ever after.
1. Harry Potter and Voldemort.
2. Hermione and Neville.
3. Snape is evil.
4. No idea.
5. Cho and whoever she connects with that isn’t Harry Potter.

4. Most shocking twist to come? Peter Pettigrew will save the day with an unprecedented act of bravery.
5. Best surviving non-Ron/Hermione couple? Don’t care.

2. Who lives? Ron, Herm, Black
3. Snape: evil
4. Most shocking twist to come: There is an afterlife where Harry and his parents and Dumbledore can see each other.
5. Best surviving non-Ron/Hermione couple? Neville and the gossip mag girl.
Eric Russell is right – it would be a wild twist if MacGonagal were evil.
I hope he is wrong about Neville dying, though. I might cry if that happens. I am so hoping Neville will save the day. I don’t know why I like the character so much, but I do. I must be a sucker.

Most shocking twist: Hmmm, I’m guessing Harry’s scar is like one of Voldemort’s horcruxes and the only way Voldemort can be killed is if Harry dies.
Best surviving couple: Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom.
So now that the book is out no one spoil the ending until we’ve all read it. (I haven’t had time to pick it up yet)
