Although Sleepless in Seattle is sort of one of the best “chick flicks” ever made. It’s hard to top that. While You’ve Got Mail didn’t totally work, it was still a fun little film.

The Doors is kind of funny. I saw it on TV so I presume the theatrical version was much raunchier. But there’s this one unforgettable scene. Morrison is way whigged out on pain killers and what not and they’re trying to cut an album. So they bring Ryan into the recording booth to give Morrison some “encouragement.” It kind of changed how I saw her.

Yeah, yeah. I know. Actors personal lives often have little to do with their screen and PR personae. Reportedly Ryan never liked here personae and was quite the wild child in real life.

But for me, the chemistry just wasn’t there for Meg and Tom in You’ve Got Mail. Sleepless in Seattle did a better job with the romance and they spent almost no time together onscreen.

Personally, I prefer old Gidget movies and silly musicals from the 60′s for my chick flick needs. Maybe I’m old school. Or just cheesy.
