  1. Nothing.

Well, I do need a new pair of shorts and I could probably use a new T-shirt or two.

  2. Paul Smith… a fine choice, O Rusty. But a Rolex? Come on, man, soooooo cliche.

  3. I’m in sales where its all about the shoes. Gotta go with Allen Edmonds. And I actually like Joseph Abboud suits. Fairly common, yet I prefer them over some of the higher-priced names.

  4. I’m with Tom.

I haven’t had a pair of Chuck Taylors in a while. Maybe I should get some of those.

And socks. You can never have enough good socks.

  5. SG,
Dude, Rolex makes a fine, basic stainless watch. I don’t want anything more than that. It’s a precision timepiece. A classic. It’s cliche for a reason.

    BTD Greg,
    Amen on the socks.

  6. I don’t understand what you mean by “precision timepiece?” Does it really keep better time than a cheap casio?

  7. I think I’d rather go with a Bulova instead of a Rolex. A Rolex is kind of like driving a Mercedes. It tells people, “I’m rich and i’m better than you.” Whereas a Bulova or even a Tag Heuer is more like a BMW, “I’m succesful.”

  8. Omega. It’s a nice, nice watch without being too pretentious.

  9. I don’t get too excited about clothing or watches. I’d say 90% of my wardrobe was given to me for Christmas or my birthday.

That being said, I always covet a new soccer jersey.

  10. Reef flip flops

  11. William Morris

Well as long as we’re talking dreams. Forget the designer suits.

I want a full custom wardrobe (suits and shirts) from a Saville Row tailor. I had a suit custom made in Romania. It’s amazing wearing something that was actually made (not just altered) exactly for your body — not to mention all of the little touches and niceties that one can have added.

If I had discretionary income, I’d go for watches over luxury vehicles for sure.
