www.
Isn’t it about time we stop saying, “double-u, double-u, double-u” before we say a web address? I mean really.

Any website set up correctly doesn’t need the www prefix anyway. For instance: http://kulturblog.com/
Unless you’re the clever guy who registered http://www.com. Then there’s no way around it.
forget www. What about “aitch-tee-tee-pee-colon-forward-slash-forward-slash”?
Once upon a time someone suggested the abbreviation “hotslash-wow” for “http://www”. sounded stupid at the time, but maybe it was an idea worth listening to.
McSweeneys recommends “the triple dub” or even “the tri-dub.”
But I don’t.
I’ve heard “wuhwuhwuh”. I just droop it.
I went to a site yesterday that didn’t work until I typed the www in front of it. Really annoying.
I just type the domain name, no w’s or .com, and hold control down when I hit enter.
I thought we all had. At least, I had. All browsers will fill in the www. part for you automatically.
I’ve stopped using “www” way bck in 98/99 itself.
Didn’t Al Gore invent the “www”?
